Britewood Ind. Ltd. was formed to supply an
alternate source of bedding to the horse industry. Current sources of
bulk and baled shavings can be inconsistent in quality and supply since they
depend on sawmill residues. Our company has created a supply that is consistently
clean and dry. The large 4X4 bales have become an intermediary source that
fits between bulk and the 3 cu ft bales. With a higher compression ratio
they can be handled and transported long distances in large quantities, yet
are easy to be carried and unloaded with the average pick-up truck.
The concept of manufacturing the shavings gives us control
over thickness, size and quality. Our custom built machine is one of a kind
that utilizes surplus supplies of dry pine and does a wonderful job in the
dry wood. We do not have to cut living trees to get our material.
The bulk bales gives stables the ability to have on hand a good
supply of shavings that take up minimal space and keep the storage area
tidy. Our customers appreciate the convenience and the competitive prices.
We are proud to be a business that caters specifically to the needs
